Thomas Brodtmann is a visual artist based in Berlin and Guatemala City.

In 2016 he started using photography as an outlet to explore an aesthetic point of view as a form of rebellion against his University major, Law.

In 2017, he founded a successful wedding photography and videography business as an opportunity to leave the lawyer’s world, and survive off of photography and videography. He decided to remain in law school and start working as a photographer in between classes.

By 2018 the business had officially taken off, and he found himself shooting a wedding almost every weekend. Clients include over 16 different nationalities.

In 2020, he graduated from Law School, with a Cum Laude award.

In 2022, he decided to finally pursue his life long dream of attending film school, and so he relocated to Berlin, to do a Master of Arts in Cinematography which he graduated on 2023.

Now he focuses on saying important things through visual imagery, lighting, framing. All hail the light.
